  • Yes—but only the ones that align with our philosophy. Tensor Phone uses the Tensor App Store, a clean front-end to Google Play, showing only essential apps like WhatsApp, Spotify, Uber, banking, maps, and email. Social media, games, and other addictive apps are permanently blocked. No sideloading, no bloat.

  • RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the modern upgrade to SMS that allows clean, fast communication with iPhone users—featuring typing indicators, read receipts, and better media sharing. Tensor Phone supports RCS only through Google Messages, since Google owns the protocol. Our minimalist Tensor Messages app supports just SMS and MMS for a distraction-free experience. WhatsApp is also fully supported as a separate app.

    For true digital minimalists, we recommend the Tensor Messages app, but we won’t withhold you from other options.

  • Yes. Tensor Phone natively supports WhatsApp, SMS, and MMS right out of the box.

  • By default, internet browsing is disabled to help you stay focused. However, you can unlock browsing anytime for a one-time fee if you choose.

    The browser will be heavily limited with a custom search engine.
